Project Manager (f/m)

A Knapp Project Manager is responsible for all project metrics including safety, quality, schedule, cost and customer satisfaction. The following, at a minimum, must be performed:

  • Insure all required communication between project stakeholders, Knapp resources, suppliers, etc. occurs in a time frame and to the level of detail necessary for a successful project.
  • Coordinate all project related activities and insure they occur in a time frame necessary for a successful project.
  • Produce, distribute and file documentation as required to insure contractual requirements are satisfied and all possible risk to Knapp is mitigated should a contractual dispute arise.
  • Know and understand which issues need to be escalated, who they should be escalated to and when an issue needs to be escalated in order to eliminate negative impact to a project.
  • Operate and negotiate independently within Knapp policies, procedures and directives.
  • Champion a project within the Knapp Group.
  • Act as primary Customer interface and manage the Customer Contract.
  • Have overall responsibility for all commercial items.
  • Create/maintain/track project budgets and schedules.
  • Coordinate change order pricing and proposals and resolution of all project related Open Issues.
  • Generate RFQ’s and subcontracts for major buy-out components and systems.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from four-year college or university and at least 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies:

  • All around business commercial awareness
  • Awareness and understanding of Business Agreements
  • National and International travel will be required
  • Must have experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress
  • Must be able to identify and mitigate risks
  • Fluent in German is preferred
  • Solid project management skill set; PMP Certification preferred
