All the goods that were either returned or not received are scanned and received back into the WMS system. Goods are unpacked in ergonomic manual stations, opened and inspected for damaged packaging. The high percentage of returned goods is common in the mail order business.
The KiSoft WMS leads the warehouse personnel completely through the process. Undamaged goods are immediately processed again, and are transported to the flow racks of the fast-mover zone. The racks are filled from the back with Put-to-Light, the operator takes the required products from the front side with Pick-to-Light. All the other returns are stored back in the OSR system.
