Data protection regulations

KNAPP AG attaches great importance to the protection of the private sphere and personal data of its customers. We therefore conduct our internet activities solely taking into account the data protection laws to be applied in each case.

Personal data

We do not collect any personal data on our website without your explicit agreement. Only you determine whether, for example, you want to give us your e-mail address or your address in order to get in touch with you, to process your request, or to grant you access to special information or offers. We handle this personal data with the strictest of confidence and will not forward it to third parties outside KNAPP group. In all other cases, personal data is forwarded only after prior agreement with you or as a result of a legal obligation. Alle information we receive from you when visiting our internet services helps us to process customer information and to communicate our orders, products and services.


As soon as you contact us, we receive and store certain information. Amongst other things, we use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are pieces of information which are automatically stored on your computer in accordance with strict rules and with content which you can check. We use cookies solely to make it more comfortable for you to access our website, e.g. to enable you to access it without entering your password or your preferences every time. Cookies are not allocated to personal profiles.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Data security

We painstakingly take precautions to protect your data from loss, manipulation and unauthorised access. The precautions are in line with the technological development status.


We log access to our HTTP server as is generally usual. In each case, our logs contain the date and time, the URL of the site you requested and the IP address of the computer from which the site was called up. This data is not personal and serves the legal safeguarding (e.g. against attacks from hackers) and optimisation of our web presence by statistically evaluating the data (e.g. access errors, average holding time, internet browsers used and operating systems). As part of our activities in the Digital District Mehrwertzone and our customer relationship management, data is recorded accordingly and, in certain individual cases, evaluated, whereby the data remains protected.
