Andreas is Head of Controlling
You can find out what his job involves, what makes it so enjoyable and why he is so glad to work at KNAPP right here!

What are your
main responsibilities?
My morning is typically spent coordinating things and in meetings because in Controlling, we have many contacts in other departments. My afternoons are dedicated to more creative work – and yes, even accountants get to be creative (laughs). I use this time for reports, analyses and strategic tasks, which require creativity. We try to put ourselves in the other person’s shoes as we make the world of numbers understandable, tangible and effective. Along with leading my team, my job has a focus on project controlling. Here I make sure that the commercial results and prognoses for a project are realistically depicted and integrated in the overall company result.
What kind of education, experience or interests should you have for your job?
Commercial training is particularly important to be able to understand the interrelationships between the various areas of a business. Controlling always means looking beyond your own processes to understand the big picture. A technical background, especially an affinity for IT and knowledge of ERP systems, is also helpful because this question comes up a lot: Where do you get the necessary data and how is it structured?
My Job:
Analytical. Shaping. Communicative.
What do you like most about your job?
I appreciate being able to independently shape the area we work in with my team, continually improving things and bringing more transparency to the numbers every day.
Why do you enjoy working for KNAPP?
Even though the company has grown significantly over the past years, KNAPP still feels like a family operation to me. The size of the company means there are many ways and opportunities to develop, and the friendly and helpful interactions with my colleagues make me glad to come to work every day.
