What are your
main responsibilities?

I work with my colleagues to answer calls from our international customers and provide support if they have any questions or want to report any incidents in their warehouse. Communicating with our customers is a lot easier if they can explain the situation in their native language – and that’s where our linguistic know-how comes in. I collect all the information we need and forward it to our technicians so that the incident can be resolved faster. However, I’m not always on the phone behind the desk: Sometimes I go to customer training sessions and interpret in person. That’s a nice change of pace for me, and it’s a lot of fun, too!

What kind of education, experience or interests should you have for your job?

I think there are three things that are very important. First, of course, are your foreign language skills. You need an excellent command of written and spoken English and at least one other language. You should also enjoy talking to customers and be interested in error and problem analyses because sometimes you just need to be bold and find creative solutions – and implement them too.

My job:

Varied. Challenging. Really exciting.

What part of your job do you find especially fun?

Getting to pursue my passion for languages and other cultures every day. We also have customers we’ve gotten to know very well over the years, so talking to them is fun. We joke around sometimes, we have fun interactions.

Why do you enjoy working at KNAPP?

I really appreciate how international the company is. Also, I work with a lot of different people every day, both at the company and outside of it. I’m always learning new things, from new words or phrases to new technical tips and tricks.
