What are your main responsibilities?

As a Service Level Manager, I’m the project manager for a service offer, from the first draft until the contract is signed. This means that I create a concept based on the customer’s requirements, consult with experts in the specialist departments and – depending on where the respective customer is located – with our colleagues at our more than 25 service offices worldwide. I’m the go-to person for our project team which includes a different constellation of people depending on the project. To provide our customers with an individualized and compelling service package, creativity and a plethora of good ideas are needed. This is challenging and exciting at the same time – and it’s anything but monotonous.

What kind of education, experience or interests should you have for your job?

From an educational perspective, you should either have a university degree (with a major in tech, economics or law) or have graduated from a secondary technical or business school and have a few years of relevant work experience. The job also requires a persuasive and sales-oriented demeanor and strong communication skills.

What do you like about your job in particular?

My approach to work is very systematic and structured. It’s a great feeling to have merged all the requirements into one cohesive service concept and to hand the ready documents to the customer on time, but nothing compares to when a satisfied customer signs the contract.
I also appreciate that we have a diverse team, with some colleagues having a background in law or economics. This brings different perspectives into our discussions, making them livelier and more insightful.
