Long-standing partners KNAPP and the Kramp Groep, Europe’s leading specialist for spare parts and accessories for the agriculture sector, have reached a new milestone with a new order to expand the distribution center at the Varsseveld headquarters. This comes as a response to the dynamic growth of the Dutch company and increasing demands by customers for faster deliveries, a wider choice of products and the highest possible availability. Boasting a highly automated logistics center with 500,000 different items and overnight delivery, KRAMP is considered the “Amazon for all things agricultural”. The distribution center is being expanded during ongoing operation, a process that started in August 2025 with the modification of the conveyor system. By the time the expansion is completed in 2028, five parts of the system will have gone live as scheduled.
A partnership with a long history and a clear vision for the future
KNAPP and KRAMP have been successfully working together since 2008. Collaboration between the two companies is characterized by technological excellence and a solid understanding of the requirements of modern spare parts logistics. The projects completed so far, including the installation of an Evo Shuttle system with ergonomic Pick-it-Easy work stations, have created the foundation for high performance and scalable logistics. KiSoft, the central software solution, controls all processes intelligently and ensures that the storage capacities are optimally used and that deliveries are shipped on time.
A new order for new dimensions
The extension of the automated warehouse Evo Shuttle system is part of Masterplan, Kramp's multi-year project aimed at transforming warehouse operations at Kramp’s headquarters in Varsseveld. Within this phase, KNAPP is implementing a dedicated four aisle Evo Shuttle 1D system, with a system throughput of 1,720 lines per hour. A total of around 6,556 new storage locations will be created as well. In a separate second phase of automation, Kramp will introduce several further upgrades, including three palletizing robots, renewed conveyor systems, and packing machines. In the future, both totes and cartons of various sizes will run through the system, significantly increasing flexibility and efficiency in the picking process. Orders will also be intelligently buffered and consolidated in the new buffer zone, ensuring even faster and more efficient order processing for Kramp and its customers.
“We are proud to take this next step in our growth strategy. The combination of advanced automation and additional space allows us to respond even better to the needs of our customers, while improving the working conditions for our employees and increasing efficiency”, said Just Reinke, Head of Network Projects at Kramp.
The master plan for Kramp’s logistics expansion is strategic: it is data-driven, scalable and future-proof. The combination of intelligent software and a modular system design creates a system that can flexibly respond to market changes while focusing on the needs of the consumer. “KRAMP is a flagship project for modern agriculture logistics. We are proud to walk this path together with them and make a real difference in their business with our technologies”, enthuses Bernhard Moik, Sales Manager at KNAPP.
