The company
At KNAPP Smart Solutions GmbH, headquartered in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, we develop and produce automated storage systems, measurement and weighing technology as well as software solutions for pharmacy, industry, logistics and retail. With our brands ApoStore, RetailStore, and InduStore, we supply comprehensive automation solutions.
Our modern technologies optimize the internal processes for various industries by linking automated warehouses, e-commerce and brick and mortar retail. Our story as technology pioneers began in 1986 in Gelsenkirchen, where we made the world’s first picking robot. Since 2000, we have been planning, building and installing automated storage systems and logistics concepts all across Europe. Today, we employ more than 140 employees at KNAPP Smart Solutions.
We have found new applications for our innovations stemming from brick and mortar retail and industry in tailored solutions for the healthcare industry. We pour our more than 35 years of automation experience into the design of high-grade automation solutions for pharmacies, hospitals and pharmaceutical warehouses and also offer proven solutions to other industries.
