What are your main responsibilities?

When someone orders a T-shirt from one of our customers in the fashion sector, there is quite a bit of information and processes in the background that must all come together. For example, our customer might want to know how many orders come in in a day, and at what time the most orders are made, so that they can best position offers in the online shop. To make this happen, a document is first created with the requirements, which includes all the important information and wishes in digital form. Based on this, my job as software developer is to determine the appropriate solution for the requirement and prepare a software package.

What kind of education, experience or interests should you have for your job?

A technical education is a great start to the job of software developer at KNAPP, but it’s not absolutely necessary. The most important thing to have is the fundamentals of software design and software development. If you are a bit of a tech geek who likes to work creatively and learn new things, you are probably a good fit for the job of software developer in KNAPP Customer Service.

My job:

Demanding. Varied. Solution-oriented.

What part of your job do you find especially fun?

I really like my job because my tasks are super exciting. It’s quite satisfying when I can apply myself and get to see what my efforts have produced at the end of the day. The best moment is when I am able to solve a particularly tricky issue, making the customer happy, which makes me happy.

Why do you enjoy working at KNAPP?

I have been with the company since 2013 and am very happy. KNAPP is more to me than just an employer – there are real benefits here for the employees. Starting with the KNAPPvital programs, a medical center, company cafeteria and the KNAPPcafé, there are many outstanding initiatives to make KNAPP attractive as a place of work.
