Twelve apprentices are starting their training at KNAPP in Hart bei Graz, as well as four apprentices at the Leoben site. There are always around 50 apprentices in training to become mechatronics or metal technicians with an emphasis on mechanical engineering and information technology.

KNAPP is a state approved training company in Austria. The company has been training apprentices for over 20 years and in doing so, guarantees the availability of future junior employees. Aside from enabling apprentices to achieve excellent technical qualifications, KNAPP also focuses on further personal development and expanding their horizons. The programme includes project work, which demonstrates clearly the theoretical content, English language training in cooperation with the Berlitz Institute and in-house preparation courses for the Higher Vocational Diploma. At the end of the apprenticeship, the young people gain valuable experience carrying out installation work abroad. Having completed the apprenticeship, many interesting opportunities for development are open to them in the company – two thirds of the apprentices remain in the company and are sought-after specialists, some in positions of leadership.

Young people can apply for an apprenticeship at KNAPP throughout the year. Training begins every year in September.
