Digital transformation is progressing rapidly. Which digital achievements have the potential to enrich our analogue reality for the long term? What’s necessary for sustainability? These are the questions addressed this year at the Internationaler Logistik Sommer 2021 (ILS2021) with the theme, “Digital Reality – What’s Here to Stay”. The event will take place from September 23-24, 2021 in a hybrid format: live and digital. KNAPP is once again partnering the event.
Digitalization along the value chain
What changes does digitalization bring with it to the areas of work, education, industry, logistics and trade? Is digital transformation the future of the value chain?
In our everyday life, digitalization and digital technologies are our constant companions. But what does digitalization mean for logistics processes?
ILS2021 is dedicated to the logistics trends of today and tomorrow, offering an exciting programme on digital reality to both online and offline participants. The event combines a live congress with a virtual networking platform and is a meeting place for the experts and trendsetters in digitalization.
Perfect networking through digitalization
At KNAPP, digitalization is not just talk – it’s our everyday practice. KNAPP solutions include digital technologies to create a sophisticated network of software and logistics system, integrating the entire value chain. The central themes are artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning. With digitalization, completely new and innovative services, tools and solutions can be put into action.
Successful collaboration – the Leoben Think and Do Tank
Right from the start, KNAPP has been part of the logistics networking platform in Leoben, Austria. At ILS2021, KNAPP will show what digitalization means for technology companies and will demonstrate the revolutionary impact of digital transformation on the food retail sector. Visitors receive insight into the supportive role of digital technologies in creating innovative services: a live link to a Multi-Site Control Center (MSCC) will show the participants an innovative monitoring system for food retailers. This preventive, proactive solution is used by retailers operating several small systems at different locations, the so-called Micro Fulfillment Centers (MFC). The MSCC tools monitor all processes and systems around the clock.
Connecting research and economics
With currently over 640 employees, KNAPP Systemintegration is one of the largest employers in Upper Styria. The Leoben event location provides the perfect stage for an exchange with educational institutions in the region. The participants of ILS2021 also have the opportunity to get to know the people behind the company. The KNAPP team is expanding, so the company is seeking interested and qualified candidates and career changers for its Austrian sites in Hart bei Graz, Leoben, Dobl and Grambach. Human resources reps will be on hand at the event to answer any questions and provide information on the many opportunities and prospects within the company.
KNAPP is an internationally operating technology company for complete intralogistics solutions, automated storage systems and logistics software solutions. With approximately 5,300 employees across 53 locations worldwide, KNAPP provides innovative and customized solutions for the sectors health, retail, fashion, food, production and e-commerce.
