On October 2, the KNAPP Managing Board, Gerald Hofer, Franz Mathi and Christian Grabner officially opened the company daycare centre at the Hart bei Graz headquarters. Among the honoured guests were the Knapp family, regional parliament member Bernhard Ederer and Landesrat Michael Schickhofer. The children contributed to a festive atmosphere by singing a song that touched the hearts of the guests.
The KNAPP Kinderwelt opened on September 9, just in time for the beginning of school after a short period of construction of less than five months. For the 1,500 employees at the Hart bei Graz company headquarters it provides significant support for the balance of work and family life. The opening ceremonies took place on October 2nd.
Effective concept
“Our employees perform at a high level every day. One way we express our appreciation for this is by offering social benefits. These include our company cafeteria, health and vitality pro-grammes as well as the KNAPP Kinderwelt – a sustainable asset at company headquarters and a successful and very comfortable venue for children” declared KNAPP CEO Gerald Hofer. The new building was designed by architect DI Christian Meier and stands on a 2000 m² property directly bordering the company headquarters. The building is modern in design and offers many bright group rooms for the kindergarten as well as the two nursery groups. In total, the facility has space for up to 50 children between the ages of 0 and 6. The outdoor area includes a Bobby Car racetrack and the children can play on the covered terrace with integrated sand boxes if the weather is inclement. The company cafeteria provides meals for the children.
Maximum flexibility for parents
With the WIKI child care, KNAPP AG has an experienced partner at its side, and the young generation is in the best of pedagogical hands. Flexible, all-day opening hours from up to 12 hours on work days is an important support for parent re-entering the workforce. Day care is also offered to parents from the community Hart bei Graz and is a valuable addition to the local infrastructure.
