KNAPP Leoben Expands Management Team

KNAPP Systemintegration is expanding their management team. Starting in April 2024, the three prokurists (holders of a general commercial power of representation) will work with Managing Directors Rudolf Hansl and Bernhard Rottenbücher. The reason for this change is the retirement of the third Managing Director, Franz Leitner, who has well-earned his new status as retiree after 17 years as Managing Director.

Three prokurists join KNAPP Leoben management

The constant growth of KNAPP Systemintegration GmbH in Leoben, along with the retirement of Managing Director Franz Leitner, has led to an expansion in the company management. Franz Leitner, who retired at the end of March, worked at KNAPP in Leoben for 25 years, 17 of which he served as a Managing Director. His responsibilities included development, implementation and project management.
Starting in April, Werner Lichtenegger, Thomas Pötsch and Gerald Rosspeintner will join the management team in Leoben, having power of attorney as prokurists for the areas project management, implementation, sales and product management. The new members of the management team have many years of management experience within the KNAPP group. The two Managing Directors Rudolf Hansl and Bernhard Rottenbücher remain in their roles as Managing Directors and assume responsibility for the areas of development, customer service, human resources, purchasing, finance and IT.
Bernhard Rottenbücher is enthusiastic about the reinforcements for the team: “We look forward to working with the three new prokurists, who are very experienced colleagues, and who will be able to continue to make the best decisions for the company and employees. Franz Leitner has been a pillar of the company for many years, and we want to wish him the very best for his retirement and thank him for his outstanding work through the years.”

Continuous growth for KNAPP Leoben

KNAPP Systemintegration GmbH in Leoben is one of the largest subsidiaries of the KNAPP group and is one of the largest employers in Upper Styria. The company has undergone constant growth for many years: The team, currently at about 800 employees, has doubled in size over the past ten years. Leoben site as center of competence for the food sector

In the past years the KNAPP site in Leoben has focused mainly on the planning, development and implementation of solutions for the food sector. The solution portfolio for food retail includes concepts and systems for automation, digitalization, software and robotics. The Upper Styrian team supports food retailers in their daily business of supplying stores with fresh foods and punctually delivering online grocery orders. Companies such as SPAR, REWE, Kroger and Woolworths are customers of KNAPP Systemintegration.
