Würth transports with Open Shuttles

At Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG in Bad Mergentheim, Open Shuttles, the driverless warehouse vehicles by KNAPP, autonomously transport trays with articles from goods-in to an infeed point at the conveyor system. The Open Shuttles take the physical stress and strain off the employees: no more pallets must be formed at the goods-in stations that the employees used to have to transport to the infeed point and manually place on the conveyor.

At Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG in Kunzelsau, like nimble little robots, the Open Shuttles bring source containers from the OSR Shuttle™ to the special check stations. A connection to the existing stationary conveyor system could only have been realized at a very high cost. With the Open Shuttles, it was possible to construct an infeed/outfeed point for the source containers at an accessible point on the conveyor system.
