To provide customers in Germany with more personal and comprehensive service, KNAPP IT Solutions GmbH, the KNAPP group’s competence center for solutions and services involving the warehouse management software SAP® EWM, has opened a new location in Würzburg. KNAPP IT Solutions Deutschland GmbH is headed up by Managing Directors Gerald Lassau and Thomas Furthmayr.
After several successful years in the business with around 34 go-lives of SAP® EWM by KNAPP in warehouses in Germany, KNAPP IT Solutions is expanding its strategic subsidiary network. In addition to headquarters in Raaba-Grambach, Austria, locations in Schönbühl, Switzerland, and Sofia, Bulgaria, the new subsidiary in Würzburg complements the 100-strong team of SAP® EWM experts in current as well as future implementation projects.
“KNAPP is an all-in-one supplier of SAP® EWM, taking care of all aspects of the project, from start to finish, including developing the concept of the solution, implementing it and providing support until the go-live date and beyond with a 24/7 Service Desk. The solutions involve complex RF and voice-operated as well as fully automatic warehouses. This new location will expand our presence in Germany so we can provide even better support to new and existing local customers,“ explains Gerald Lassau, Managing Director, KNAPP IT Solutions GmbH.
Expansion policy to meet future growth
With more than 90 projects using SAP® EWM, KNAPP is one of SAP’s internationally leading EWM implementation partners. The company is also breaking new ground, entering markets with potential for projects as well as talent. “Germany fits both these criteria. It’s an important market for SAP® solutions and allows us to expand our team internationally. Within a short period of time, we were able to take five new SAP® EWM experts on board for our location and we are looking for further experts as well as career starters in consulting and development,” explains Thomas Furthmayr, Managing Director, KNAPP IT Solutions GmbH.
